Copyright Statement
The Delia Group of Schools (TKS) does not condone the illegal use or reproduction of copyright materials in any form. It is the intent of the School that all staff and students adhere to international and Hong Kong laws protecting copyright material. Brief overviews of these laws are available in the Hong Kong publication “Copyright in Education in Hong Kong” and the Canadian publication “Copyright Matters”. Both of these documents have been made available to all school staff and are used as guides for copyright concerns at the School.
Work Posted on Class Digital Sites
Students — Students own the copyright to their creative works, including works created using school resources. Student work will only be posted on the school website or class digital portal with the permission of the student. All student work posted on the Internet/Intranet will contain a copyright notice indicating the ownership of that work by the student (s).
Staff — The school shall own the copyright on any works created by school staff within the scope of his or her employment responsibilities. School staff own the copyright to works created outside of the scope of his or her employment responsibilities and without the use of school resources. School staff may post such work on the school website to facilitate access by students and/or staff. Notice of such posting and claim of ownership must be provided to administration. By posting such work to the school’s website, the staff member will grant a non-exclusive license or permission for any staff or student within the school to freely use such work.
Postings and Dissemination of Material—No material will be disseminated through the school Internet, Intranet or digital portal systems or posted on the school Internet, Intranet or class site unless that material is original, in the public domain, used in accord with the fair use provisions of the copyright law, or is disseminated or posted with permission of the copyright owner. Any work posted on the class digital portal that is from an individual outside the organization will be given credit in this section.

Delia School of Canada has created this privacy statement in order to document and communicate its commitment to ensuring all users of the class portal understand the privacy policy and collection at data policy for the site.
The class website was developed and designed as a communication tool between student and teacher, teacher and student, and student and student. This class blog is a closed site and only students enrolled in the class, the teachers and school staff have access. The website is not a chat room but rather an online web portal into the classroom where students may engage in the collection of learning resources and material.
The information made available on the blog will supplement and support in-class learning. The blog will not be used for assessment and evaluation purposes.
Collection or Posting of Personal Information – The school will not use the website to collect ANY personal information from users. In addition, school staff will not post any personal information about any user on the website, unless given explicit permission. Examples of personal information include:
• address
• telephone number
• personal email
• location
• meeting arrangements
• assessment results
Links to Other Sites —This webpage may contain a number of links to other sites. Delia School of Canada is not responsible for the security or privacy practices of these sites, the products or services offered by these sites, or the content appearing at these sites. Delia School of Canada does not endorse any of the products or services marketed at these other sites. During registration to other sites students may be required to provide personal information. Therefore, prior to linking to offsite services the teacher will review the site for appropriateness and seek parental permission to create accounts for students
